This beautifully renovated apartment is on the first floor of a 13th century building at the center of the medieval village of Certaldo Alto. It features a large bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed as well as a single bed. The room has two windows opening to the prestigious Boccaccio Street and has a close view of palazzo Pretori, originally the castle of the Conti Alberti.

There is a double size sofa bed in the living room which is connected to the dining area and a kitchen equipped with all appliances necessary for a comfortable stay ( see Amenities ). The bathroom is completely modern with a large shower box.

A patio surrounded by windows is accessible via both dinning and living room, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy the view in every weather condition. This patio opens up to a balcony with a beautiful view of Tuscan hills as well as San Gimignano with its medieval towers. For more relaxation, you can enjoy the garden with a large dinning table. You will share this garden with the owners.

The peaceful and picturesque walled village of Certaldo Alto is very conveniently connected to all major sights of Tuscany. Florence, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano and many more are easily accessible via the Certaldo train station which is right in the center of the small town of Certaldo. A short walk from the train station takes you to the funicular cabin that after a couple of minutes climbs to the top of the cliff where you can enjoy this beautiful village with its stunning view.

Several important festivals take place in this village throughout the year. Mercantia festival in July every year is the most famous one. There are also several nice restaurants right at your door step, in addition to many other shops available for other necessities in Certaldo.

The village is easily accessible by either car or train from other cities like Florence or Siena. Visiting other villages in the area is quite convenient using the frequently available public transportation like bus and train, making this apartment a suitable base for exploring the beauty of Tuscany. Or if you decide to do it by car, a free private garage is also available for those coming by car ( to be arranged with your host prior to arrival ).
